HI Friends and Family

Well, friends, I have to be very honest, I had a really rough weekend.  My hair is now gone.  It was quite traumatic.  It happened so fast.  It started falling out last Saturday and was soooo thin by this past Saturday that I just had it shaved.  My sweet friends Becky and Pam were here and they got the worst of me but I know they still love me.  I am so completely blessed with support, I cannot imagine going through any of this without my friends and family.  We came back to Dallas to meet with my amazing hair guy, John at Follicare.  I just went for the shave and I had kleenex in my hand, expecting a break down.  But honestly, it was not as bad as I thought it would be.  I actually look sort of cute bald.  Harrison , always the optimist , said that I would swim much faster now!!!  Maddie was an absolute angel.  She couldn't have been kinder to me.  My wonderful husband once again completely spoiled me and bought me three absolutely gorgeous Hermes scarves!!!!  They are fab!!  The temporary wig I have is a lot darker than I am used to, but with the unbelievable scarves, I have to say I felt very chic.  This is still super hard, and I have shed many tears crying to God.  But he always comforts me.  All I have to do is open my bible and read his word.  He speaks directly to me.  But please still pray for me.  

I also need to tell everyone how absolutely wonderful my parents are.  They take care of me and my children with the most loving care.  They took Maddie, Carley and Harrison to the Texas State Fair all day on Monday when I was in Houston.  I can always count on them.  This summer when I was going through my surgery and Scotty and I were traveling back and forth to Houston weekly, my parents stayed with the kids and I never once had to worry about them.  What a complete blessing.  They will be here in two weeks and we can't wait!!!!!  I love you so much, Mom and Dad, and I couldn't do any of this without you.

My mother in law, Mary, gets here tomorrow.  My next treatment is Thursday at 11:00.  Keep praying for me, and expect to see many cute hats and scarves.  This will be a new fashion challenge for me. (I love fashion challenges!!)
