Today was a pretty good day

After we got the kids to school, Mary and I sat by the fire and I caught up on some of my bible study.  Then we went to lunch at Freshies.  It was delicious, as usual.   I think I have mentioned to some of you that God has answered my prayer of a bible study group.  I met a really sweet lady a few weeks ago and I kept running into her around town and then saw her at our new church.  God kept putting her in my path.  The last time I saw her I told her about my breast cancer and that I was going through chemo here in town.  She told me that one of her best friends had it two years ago and is now her bible study leader.  Needless to say, they have invited me to join their small group.  The group leader's name is Denise and we have been communicating through e-mail so I could pick up the study from her.  I had never met her or even spoken to her on the phone.  So at Freshies today after Mary and I sat down, I  told Mary I was going to step outside and try to call Denise so I could get started on the study.  I went outside and called her.  She answered her cell phone but said she was in a restaurant and couldn't really hear me.  She told me the study book was on her porch and I could stop by anytime.  When I went back to the table, after a few minutes the lady at the NEXT table said, "Are you Julie Howell?"  I said , "yes."  It was DENISE!!  She was literally sitting right next to us!!  I had stepped outside to call her and she answered a foot away from me!!!  I love it when God is so sweet to me!  I got to meet Denise and she was with another lady named Brenda who is also in the group.  This is definitely an answered prayer for me.  I miss BSF SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!  We meet this Thursday. I am really excited.

I do need extra prayers this week though.  I have been feeling really down and my appetite is non-existent.  Please pray a little extra for me.  My next treatment in this Wednesday at 11:00am.
